Play as the killer without camping the body

One swing downs a survivor. Leave the body, learn a small map first, and do not treat the full-clear coin total as a simple hit formula.

The killer wins by downing survivors before they escape. One swing puts a survivor on the HELP ME bar. Finding them is the hard part, not the attack itself.

Search habits the mechanics notes actually give

Check lockers, because players hide in them, but do not only check lockers. Watch for movement. If you down someone and you saw another survivor, chase that second person. If nobody is nearby, search, then come back. A downed survivor moves slowly, so they should still be close unless someone revived them.

Standing on the body is the wrong read. Survivors are told not to revive while the bar says NO CAMPING. You get more downs by leaving and cutting off the rescuer.

The killer can crawl, using the same inputs as survivors, but more slowly. Use it to follow someone into a crawlspace rather than as a default walk.

Map size changes the job

Darkwood Asylum and Haunted Mansion are described as harder for killers: more hiding spots and easier to get lost on. Papa Roni's Pizzeria is described as smaller, more balanced, and easier for a new killer to learn. Learn one small map before you judge your own play on a large one.

Role chance

Since June 11, 2025, rounds where you are not the killer raise your chance of getting the role, and the chance resets after you are the killer. The percentage is not stated. A separate 3x Killer Chance pass is listed in an older pass table at 799 Robux. This page does not know how that pass combines with the pity rule.

Coins, without forcing the math

The killer page lists these payouts:

Event Documented payout
Being the killer 20 XP and 20 coins, or 30 coins with premium
A hit 5 coins
The last kill 50 coins
A full clear of 12 survivors 350 coins, or 480 with premium

Adding 20 + (12 × 5) + 50 equals 130, not 350. The premium version of that sum is 140, not 480. The full-clear totals therefore include payments the page does not itemize. Do not invent the missing coins. Souls are a separate 15-coin pickup and are explained in the coin guide. Track the wallet before and after a round if you need the live number.

Killer copies, shop names, and the 20-copy trade cap are on the roster and the trading guide. Opening animations on Dread, Malvus the Magician, Voldar, Grimsley, Ghost Grimsley, Kringler, Ghost Kringler, and Cosmic Kringler are cosmetic. They are not a power ranking.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Survive the Killer!?

It is a free Roblox horror game by Slyce Entertainment. One player is the killer. Everyone else hides, revives teammates, and tries to escape when the doors open.

How many players are in a match?

The Roblox listing caps a server at 13 players. Killer coin notes describe a full lobby as one killer and 12 survivors.

How do survivors escape?

Stay alive for four minutes. Two exit doors then open, marked with a green icon and a yellow arrow. Walk through the glowing door. After the doors open, a hit kills instantly and the killer can see survivor positions.

Are any codes working?

The game code archive lists no current code. Cody, the redeem NPC, is documented to appear only while a code can be redeemed. Older rewards remain in the expired archive. Some later roundups still reprint luckyduck, vote1m, and MINING as working; this site files those three as expired with the archive and did not redeem them in-game.

How do you crawl?

Press Shift on computer, the down arrow on mobile, or LT on Xbox. Survivors use crawlspaces to break line of sight. The killer can crawl too, more slowly.
